Job Description
Focus Products Group, LLC, a growth-oriented holding company serving the retail, hospitality, and foodservice markets, located in Vernon Hills, IL, is looking for a CFO. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will also partner with the other executive management team members to drive business performance in:

1. Organic and new product-driven growth

2. Productivity and supplier performance improvement

3. Working capital performance - inventory and supply chain management

In addition, the CFO will perform the necessary financial duties as the chief financial custodian for the company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee all finance, accounting and treasury functions

• Develop all plans, budgets and forecasts

• Manage banking relationship

• Review monthly financial results to explain variations from budget/forecast

• Develop weekly/monthly presentation of business operations for executive management

• Close the books in a timely and accurate manner

• Maintain and refine accounting control environment

• Drive business goals such as revenue, profit and cash flow improvements – including inventory management and return on investment to ensure that they are measured, managed and achieved.

• Drive excess expense out of the business, while investing in profitable growth and favorable returns.

• Implement best financial and accounting practices in all locations and build a world-class finance organization with functional excellence.

• Manage the strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the organization.

• Maintain controls throughout the business to adequately safeguard the assets of the company and to identify potential risks in a timely manner.

• Analyze monthly, quarterly and annual management reports to identify business trends and potential risks & opportunities to the business – manage the financial forecast in a dynamic fashion based on trends.

• Advise on customer credit risk management

• Develop strategies for controlling and managing the financial metrics to improve profit drivers.

• Drive fact-based decision-making through management presentations to executive management and Board of Directors.

Requirements
• Strong business leadership and cross-functional team skills.

• Minimum of 15 years of progressive finance/accounting experience working across multiple financial disciplines

• B.S. in Finance or Accounting is required - MBA preferred.

• CPA required.

• Prior work experience in retail/hospitality and/or consumer products with foreign sourcing preferred.

• Experience managing bank relationship and credit facility amendment process.

• Full P&L understanding with focus on revenue, (organic & new product) pricing, margin, and SG&A expenses – must be able to budget, plan, forecast and report across the entire business with a strong working knowledge of how the business operates.

• Strong product portfolio management understanding and experience – able to provide financial and business support and intelligence across diverse products, brands, customers, and locations.

• Good communication skills to work across functions – must have the ability to work with non-financial team members to build a business understanding within those functions and to drive robust financial reporting in support of strategic initiatives and executive level reviews.

• Proven strong senior leadership presence – must have the ability to work at executive and Board of Directors level at a very high standard.
