Job Description
Manitowoc Cranes, a global leader in lifting solutions, is seeking a dynamic Senior Cost Accountant in the Shady Grove, Pennsylvania facility. This position will report directly to the operating company Controller and will be responsible for planning and forecasting, product/project/account analysis, process improvement, internal controls, and internal/external reporting.

Essential Job Functions

Planning/Forecasting

•Assume leadership role in establishing the process for developing annual business plans, quarterly ReEstimates and short term forecasts •Develop detailed plans and interface to MTW and internal reporting systems •Establish performance metrics and monitor performance vs. plans

Product/Project/Account Analysis

•Represent Finance function on New Product Development teams •Develop product costs and supporting documentation for special government products •Develop financial models/simulations (including Economic Value Added analysis) to support evaluation of internal and external business alternatives •Support Financial Accounting function with account analysis and reconciliations as required

Process Improvements/Internal Controls

•Support the development, improvement and documentation of accounting/business processes •Support the establishment and maintenance of Sarbanes/Oxley compliant control environment

Internal/External Reporting

•Utilize Excel, Access and Hyperion Retrieve software to develop efficient tools for communicating business performance •Prepare various reports/analysis for corporate, tax and government survey requirements

NOTES: Employer will assist with relocation costs.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field. Advanced degree highly desired. •Minimum of 3 years related accounting/finance experience. •Minimum of 1 year Cost Accounting experience required. •Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required. •Excellent analytical skills. •Advanced computer skills – ERP experience, Access and Excel skills essential. •Effective written, oral and presentation skills. •Demonstrated process and problem solving skills.
